Motorsport Activity May

Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is the round up of club motorsport activity and invitations for the month of May.

As mentioned at yesterday’s navigation run, the club has been invited to attend the RACQ’s Motorfest in late June. This promises to be a great day for both the social aspect of the club and for exposure to potential members. Because of the timing and the festival type atmosphere expected, the club committee has decided to hold our annual Show and Shine at this time rather than the scheduled date near the end of May. And the prize for the best looking black and silver striped Audi goes to… Further bulletins will be sent shortly with Motorfest details etc so please keep an eye out for them but in the mean time, if you are interested please send me an RSVP with your car and contact details. This would be an ideal opportunity for a prominent Audi dealership with interest in promoting the brand within a non-commercial environment too. Just a thought.

For the track junkies of which I am proud to be one of, www.DriveGTi.com has extended an invitation to join them in any of their scheduled meetings. The next one is at Morgan Park on the 25th of May as a Level three morning session ($195) and following shortly after on the 31st May is a Level 2 – Advanced Car Control Course (Incorporating defensive driving techniques) at a cost of $242 and will be held at the Mt Cotton Driver Training Centre. Visit the website for more details and booking forms.

The Racing Room has two events during May. The first is a day at the hill climb circuit at Mt Cotton on Friday May 16 and another run at on Monday the 19th. Both require early bookings as they do tend to fill quickly. The website www.TheRacingRoom.com.au has all the details.

That’s the round up and if anyone has something to offer in addition to this, please drop me a line.

With regards,
Dijon
